This sounds like a lot! Will I really be an expert in all of this?
The Basic Training class gives you an introduction to the different subjects. Then, you can pick what interests you and learn more on your own.
Few Master Naturalists are experts in everything. Many are interested in so many things that they know a little about many things but are masters of none. Others have specific interests and become experts in those areas.
Don't be intimidated! Hobbyists and professionals are welcome in the Central Piedmont VMN chapter.

Is there a test?
Yes, but it is open book and you can take as much time as you need. In fact, some new Master Naturalists take the test over the course of several days.
